Frequently asked questions

Get your questions answered before you decide.

Do I need a college degree to take the course?

No. The technician level requires only a high school diploma. An undergraduate degree isn’t required until the next steps — QASP-S® and IBA®/QBA®.

What is the difference between IBT® and ABAT®?

They are the same technician-level credential from different boards: IBT® is from IBAO® and ABAT® is from QABA®. The course prepares you for both — you choose which one to apply for, or both.

Does the course include supervised practice?

No — it delivers the coursework required by the boards. Practice comes afterward, through Beyou’s Paid Trainee Program (up to 300h), subject to a selection process.

How much study time per week?

About 10h of content at your own pace, plus a 1-hour live session — for 8 weeks.

Does Beyou issue the certification?

No. The IBT® and ABAT® credentials are issued by the boards themselves, after training, practice, documentation and an exam — and we prepare and guide you through each of these steps.

Where will I be able to work?

Clinics, schools, in-home services and telehealth — with international credentials recognized in dozens of countries, including Brazil.

How does it work, from enrollment to certification?

The complete path has 6 steps: 1) Enrollment → 2) Training · 80h → 3) Final practical assessment → 4) Practice (traineeship) → 5) Board exam → 6) Certification. The Beyou team supports you at every step; the credential is issued by the board at the end.
